[arXiver] Figure select for the arXiver

Many of you were wondering

1) how the figures in the “API papers of the day” on the wall of the common room are chosen 

2) whether you can pre-select the figures you want to appear.

 

We thought that it would be helpful for everyone to know about this

 

1) We are using the website https://arxiver.moonhats.com which lists the recent papers of the arxiv.org in a more visually appealing way (using figures). Their algorithm searches for the most referenced figures in the LaTeX file and displays it in the post.

 

2) Yes you can pre-select 3 figures!

To specify which figures you want to appear alongside your paper, please leave a comment in any .tex file before uploading it to arXiv. This way you will be pre-selecting figures not only for our wall of fame, but also for all the users of the arxiver website. See example:

%@arxiver{fig1.pdf,fig4.png,fig15.eps}

Note: do not include the path to the figure.
